I designed a key art variant for Star Trek: Picard, creating a high-visibility campaign image that translated the series’ iconic legacy into a premium, platform-ready visual statement. Developed for prominent placement on Paramount+, the work was intended to capture attention immediately while reflecting the show’s cinematic scale, emotional depth, and character-driven storytelling.
The challenge was balancing the weight and recognizability of a legacy franchise with the need for a bold, contemporary streaming presentation. The artwork needed to resonate with longtime fans of the Star Trek universe while also feeling accessible, compelling, and visually elevated for new audiences discovering the series on-platform. It had to honor the heritage of the brand without feeling static, instead positioning Star Trek: Picard as a prestige flagship title within the Paramount+ ecosystem.
To achieve that, I focused on composition, atmosphere, and hierarchy to create a design that felt expansive, dramatic, and emotionally grounded. The key art variant was built to emphasize both the epic scope of the series and its central character perspective, allowing the piece to carry a sense of scale while still feeling human and story-led. Special attention was given to contrast, focal points, and overall balance so the artwork could perform effectively in a marquee platform environment while maintaining clarity and impact across digital surfaces.
The design was also translated across a broad range of campaign touchpoints, including in-app marquees, show posters, thumbnails, digital out-of-home billboards, and display marketing assets. This required the visual system to remain cohesive and recognizable across dramatically different formats and scales, preserving its cinematic presence while adapting to the functional demands of each placement.
Because the piece was designed for a high-profile promotional moment, brand consistency and visual refinement were essential throughout the process. The final artwork needed to feel unmistakably aligned with the Star Trek franchise while still delivering a fresh and cinematic campaign presence suited to Paramount+.
The finished key art variant helped position Star Trek: Picard as a bold marquee destination on Paramount+, reinforcing the series’ prestige through a unified cross-channel campaign system that extended from on-platform discovery to large-scale public visibility.
This project reflects my ability to develop elevated key art variants for flagship streaming content, balancing creative exploration, franchise stewardship, and multi-format campaign execution within a highly visible promotional context. The final key art variant evolved into a cohesive multi-surface campaign system, translating the legacy of Star Trek: Picard across marquee, poster, thumbnail, DOOH, and display executions to create a cinematic, platform-defining brand moment on Paramount+.
